REMEMBRANCE DAY NOVEMBER 11th 2009
Hello, I’m Ceidiog Saxelby , speaking on behalf of the 4th year History class
Next Wednesday is Remembrance Day.
This year we’re inviting the entire secondary school and staff to contribute by remembering soldiers that have fought in the past and those who are currently fighting for their country. A folder has been set up on the pool, in the work zone section, called “Remembrance day 2009”
It would be much appreciated if you’d save a word document into that folder including:
your name;
who you’d like to remember and why;
a picture if possible, would also be good.
When you save your document include your name .
Feel free to put as much or as little information , as you’d like to give. You could remember an individual, a group of people , a battle, a current battle or anything related to war. You could also remember a soldier from the past or an active soldier of today.Your memory might have been stimulated by a teacher, relative film, poem ,newspaper article or story.
We believe it’s a great way to remember those who have given their lives to fight for their country and those who have contributed to the war effort and also to those who have suffered from the effects of war and those who continue to suffer . Please help and support us, in creating this unique archive.
If you have any further suggestions, please let us know.
Thank you Class 4 History & Mrs Yvonne Malcolmson
