S2 Pupils Become News Reporters For A Day

Several of our S2 pupils were involved in the BBC News School Report on 11th March. The pupils had brushed up on their reporting skills with a little help from BBC Radio Shetland presenter Jane Moncrieff. Using materials from the BBC website, and with first-hand support from Jane Moncrieff who visited the school, they developed their journalistic skills to become School Reporters. Sandwick was one of 70 Scottish schools taking part in the UK-wide News Day, simultaneously creating video, audio and text-based news reports, and publishing them on a school website, to which the BBC linked.

Clicking on the link below will take you to a page where you can listen to streaming audio of the news report.
