The Standard Grade Science course has now been replaced by Intermediate 1 Science courses at Sandwick School. These are National Qualifications, introduced by the SQA as part of the Higher Still programme. Intermediate 1 is the only course which offers the equivalent of Foundation level in Science. There are courses available in Biology and Chemistry, and one of these will be chosen to suit the interests of the group, after discussing it with you. The topics you study are similar to those at Standard Grade, but at a less demanding level. Intermediate 2 courses are available at the Anderson High School for pupils who do well in this Intermediate 1 course and wish to continue with the subject in fifth year.
