Physics
This course is available at Credit and General levels only.
This is the science to consider for many jobs, including medicine, physiotherapy, telecommunications, engineering and electronics.
Even during the current recession, there are many interesting jobs - check out www.monster.co.uk's physics search.
The topics you will study include telecommunications, health, energy, motion, electronics and space. The course is very interesting, with a balance between practical work and theory. You will find this course easier if you are following Credit level maths, however with hard work, General level maths pupils also do well in physics. In this course you can expect regular homework to be issued in most weeks, taking the form of calculations, revision, reading or research work
Homework deadlines are posted on the school website on the physics pages.

What the S4 Pupils Think
I have asked the S4 pupils (January 2009) what advice they would give to S2 pupils thinking of choosing physics.
I asked 5 broad questions and the answers are in the comments below.
Level of Challenge/Difficulty
Is physics too easy/hard? How much maths was there?
Most Interesting Parts
Which parts were most interesting?
Which parts were least interesting?
Was the course useful?
Are you taking physics further? Have you learned useful things?
Homework
Was homework useful? Too much? Good to have deadlines online?
General
Would you still choose physics? If not, why not? Any other comments?
(Ed. Indeed, this is correct, we still have 1 topic to complete)
